Campus Inauguration 2015

Back in 2015 when I was just a rising junior, Yale-NUS commissioned me to design these stamps to commemorate the inauguration of our beautiful, newly completed campus building. I painted these two watercolor images for the stamps – of a bird's eye view that highlights our Residential Colleges Saga, Elm, and Cendana, and our library's facade with the Heritage Tree.

We built something special here, with so much heart over the years. It frankly hurts to see this labor of love by so many be completely disregarded in face of a top-down decision by so few. These buildings may soon be repurposed, but I can only hope that the spirit of the lovely community we nurtured in these grounds will live on.
